A big part of the fun will be the auction of a hand-copied replica of a
"Gibson Flying V" guitar that was personally hand-painted by Jimi Hendrix.
From the "Inspired By" series from Gibson Guitars, a limited run of 300 were
created, no two alike. THIS GUITAR IS NUMBER 5 OUT OF SIX PROTOTYPES
CREATED! The guitar, worth $15,000-$20,000 will be auctioned off at Gina
Alexander's HOPE worldwide fundraiser. Bidders will also be able to take
part in the fun by going online to try and secure this Collector's Item at
http://www.ginaalexander.com/philanthropy.htm.
The auction will go live on April 2nd, on the charity section of eBay.
Janie Hendrix, sister of Jimi and President/CEO of Experience Hendrix, L.L.C. will be making an
appearance at the Benefit presenting the Certificate of authenticity to the
highest bidder. She will also sign the auctioned guitar, making it even
more of Collector's Item and increasing its value!
