Recent Internet media reports about a deal authorizing the use of Jimi Hendrix songs and sound recordings to create a Jimi Hendrix biographical film are entirely false. Experience Hendrix has not licensed these properties for use in any planned biographical movie or any other film context at this time. Experience Hendrix, the company formed in 1995 by James ‘Al’ Hendrix, Jimi’s late father, is the exclusive owner of the copyrights in the songs and sound recordings of Jimi Hendrix
