John Mayer's rendition of Jimi Hendrix's "Bold As Love" as performed during the live telecast of Tsunami Aid: A Concert For Hope is now available for download through SonyConnect. Mayer's performance has been dubbed "the most visceral performance" of the live television event by some in the media as he delivered "a blistering take on 'Bold As Love.'"

As previously reported Sony Connect will offer all recordings from the televised event available for purchase via downloads on the Sony Connect website for 99 cents per song, sold individually or as part of the entire "playlist" from the event for only $13.99. The tracks will be made available for a period of 30-days following the tribute, with 100% of the proceeds on each download will be donated to the American Red Cross relief efforts. The artists and music publishers involved in this effort are also waiving their traditional advances, royalties and licensing fees on these sales to help in the fund raising efforts.

Funds raised through this special will support the American Red Cross two-phased assistance plan which includes specialized relief immediately and over the long term in the following areas: Food and safe water; healthcare and disease prevention; immediate family supplies; mental health counseling; disaster preparedness and prevention measures.
